Tweed Fabric Sourcing FAQ: MOQ, Lead Time, Quality & Shipping

Ready-stock fabric starts at 100 meters (about 2-3 rolls) with 85% of orders dispatched within 72 hours from our Wenzhou warehouse. Custom manufacturing requires 1,000 meters per color – the minimum needed to keep specialty yarns like bouclé and slub stable across bulk production. Browse our ready-stock and custom programs.

Standard bulk production takes 25-35 days after sample approval. Rush orders can be completed in 15-20 days with priority scheduling on our 300+ looms. Ready-stock orders ship within 72 hours. We never do blind orders – a sample roll is always recommended before bulk.

Hand-loom A4 samples and lab dips take 7-10 days from design confirmation. Ready-stock swatches ship immediately. For custom bulk orders, we recommend a 50-meter sample roll first to verify hand-feel, texture and drape on your garment silhouette before committing to full production. Request a sample.

Yes – we achieve 98% accuracy against Pantone TCX/TPG or physical LAB swatches using digital color-matching technology. Lab dips are provided for your confirmation before weaving. Every batch is tested to ISO 12945-2 (pilling grade 3-4), ISO 105-C06 (color fastness), ISO 6330 (shrinkage ≤±3%) and AATCC 20 (fiber composition ±3%). Each roll ships with a full technical data sheet. Third-party SGS testing can be arranged on request.

Wool naturally pills with friction – this is a fiber characteristic, not a defect. We control pilling to grade 3-4 per ISO 12945-2 through advanced finishing, but cannot promise zero pilling at high wool content. Shrinkage is held to ≤±3% (ISO 6330). Yes – OEKO-TEX, GRS and SGS third-party certifications can be coordinated on request. GRS is recommended for orders of 1,000 meters or more where brand compliance requires documented recycled-content traceability. Certificate maintenance costs are shared transparently before production begins.
