Premium Basics
Elevated rib knits and heavy jerseys that form the foundation of premium casualwear. Ultra-soft hand feel achieved through enzymatic washing.
Essential: Rib & JerseyThe Fursone Knitting Advantage
Fursone is a womenswear fashion fabric supplier and development partner: we source yarn directly, produce through selected specialist partner mills, and our own team follows the yarn, knitting, dyeing, finishing, final inspection and packing. That structure is what lets us open a custom colour at 300 m instead of the volumes European couture mills such as Linton Tweeds require — the comparison is below.
Advanced Jacquard Capabilities
Electronic jacquard circular knitting at our partner mills forms multi-colour patterns in the structure itself — a jacquard is a knit whose motif is produced by individually controlled needles, not printed on top. Custom motifs from 300 m/colour.
Premium Yarn Sourcing
Long-staple cotton, premium viscose and elastane filaments, sourced directly in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai, with shrinkage held to approx. ≤3–5% (ISO 6330) and lab dips submitted for your Pantone sign-off.
Rapid Prototyping
Sampling in 7–15 days and bulk in 25–35 days (rush 15–20), backed by approx. 95%+ re-order consistency. We knit 50–100 m of loom-state yardage on the same process as bulk, so you can sew a full garment before committing.
Why is Fursone easier to start with than a European mill?
Because the entry volume, not the price list, is what usually blocks a small collection:

Technical Details
What is performance knit fabric?
Performance knit fabric is a high-stretch, high-recovery circular knit base — typically cotton/spandex or viscose/nylon/spandex — engineered for close-fit, activewear and fashion garments. Fursone’s runs 150–320 GSM at 145–150 cm wide with engineered 4-way stretch.
Pilling is the enemy of knits. We specify vortex-spun yarns and enzymatic bio-polishing at our partner finishing mills to hold pilling to approx. Grade 3–4 (ISO 12945-2), with shrinkage controlled to approx. ≤3–5%.
Every roll passes Fursone’s own final inspection, with a batch composition test report and bilingual TDS included; DDP shipping to the USA, France and Italy, or to a warehouse/FBA address you nominate. Need a softer hand? See our sweater knit fabric or knitted overcoat fabric.

Your Sourcing Questions Answered
What is performance knit fabric?
Performance knit fabric is a high-stretch, high-recovery circular knit base — usually cotton/spandex or viscose/nylon/spandex — built for activewear, leggings and close-fit fashion. Fursone supplies it at 150–320 GSM, 145–150 cm wide, with 4-way stretch, shrinkage approx. ≤3–5% (ISO 6330) and pilling held to approx. Grade 3–4 (ISO 12945-2). In-stock from 1 roll (approx. 20–50 m).
What is 4-way stretch knit fabric?
4-way stretch knit fabric stretches and recovers in both the width (crosswise) and length (lengthwise) directions, giving freedom of movement and shape retention. Fursone achieves it with elastane-blended yarns and balanced knit construction for activewear and athleisure. Recovery is verified at Fursone’s final inspection, with shrinkage kept within approx. ≤3–5%.
What is jacquard knit fabric used for?
Jacquard knit fabric is used for patterned apparel where the motif is knitted into the structure rather than printed — sweaters, dresses, scarves and statement activewear. Fursone develops multi-colour jacquard designs with its partner mills from 300 m/colour, or from 1 roll off ready stock, with approx. 95%+ re-order consistency.
What is the MOQ and lead time for performance knit fabric wholesale?
In-stock performance knit ships from a single roll (approx. 20–50 m), dispatched in 3–7 days once styles and quantities are confirmed and 100% T/T is received. Custom colours or jacquards start at 300 m/colour: we knit a 50–100 m yardage sample in 7–15 days, then bulk runs 25–35 days (rush 15–20, subject to yarn and capacity being pre-booked), with approx. 95%+ re-order consistency.
