True 3D Relief
Unlike flat printed or weakly embossed fabrics, our cable knits use true structural crossovers — cable knitting crosses groups of stitches over one another to build the deep, authentic shadows of hand-knitted Aran cables.
Shape Retention
Cable knits are prone to stretching. We specify elastane content and knitting tensions for full recovery, with shrinkage held to approx. ≤3–5% (ISO 6330) and pilling tested to approx. Grade 3–4 (ISO 12945-2).

Heritage cable knit fabric is a heavy-gauge knit with a three-dimensional braided or Aran structure — groups of stitches cross over one another to create deep, hand-knit-style relief. Fursone supplies it at 350–650 GSM, 145–150 cm wide, in wool/acrylic/cotton blends.
Heavy gauge is a specialist job: most mills only run fine gauge. We work with selected partner mills equipped for 3G/5G/7G heavy-gauge knitting, and our team follows the yarn, knitting tension and finishing so the chunky hand-knit look comes off an industrial machine with shrinkage held to approx. ≤3–5% (ISO 6330).
